Built from Community

Community isn’t a feature of Circularity.one – it’s in its DNA. It grew from years of testing at Okanagan coLab, and through a community design lab process that brought diverse partners together to co-create the framework from the ground up.

The Community Enterprise Framework gives us the architecture for shared ownership and economic resilience. Community is what fills it with life. Without real relationships, genuine dialogue, and the practice of deciding together, the architecture is just structure.

This is where those relationships get built.

Community square

The Community Square is where Circularity.One’s community life takes shape — and it’s being built with community input. What emerges here will be shaped by the people who show up.

At its core: spaces for belonging, for discussing what matters, for listening across difference, and for holding the tension of views that don’t easily align. That’s not a side effect of community. It’s the work.

Community Events

Open gatherings where residents come together on topics that matter. The format is intentional – making room for real conversation, not just presentations.

 

Design Labs Cohorts

Structured, multi-week process that brings cross-sector partners together around a specific challenge. Participants co-design buildable pathways through it.

Dedicated Circles

Ongoing, structured groups working on specific topics over time. Not one-off events — sustained commitments where relationships deepen and real progress becomes possible.
